1. No File Uploads
Your files never leave your device
Every tool on EveryTool - PDF compressor, image resizer, JSON formatter, unit converter, and all others - processes your files entirely within your web browser using JavaScript and modern browser APIs. No file data is transmitted over the network to our servers or to any third-party server.
We have zero technical access to any file you open in our tools. EveryTool's servers serve only the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code that runs in your browser - the actual file processing happens locally on your device.
2. Privacy by Design
EveryTool is built on a client-side processing architecture. Here is what that means technically:
- When you visit a tool page: EveryTool's servers send you the JavaScript code for that tool. That is the only server interaction.
- When you upload a file: The file is read by your browser's JavaScript engine using the FileReader API. The data stays in your browser's memory and is never sent over the network.
- When the tool processes your file: Libraries like pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, and browser Canvas APIs perform the processing entirely within your browser tab.
- When you download the result: Your browser generates a local Blob URL and triggers a download - no upload to any server occurs at any point.
- After you close the tab: All file data in browser memory is cleared automatically. EveryTool retains nothing.
3. Information We Collect

- ✕Any file content, file names, or metadata from files you process
- ✕Account information (EveryTool has no account system)
- ✕Location data beyond country-level (from analytics)
What we DO collect
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how users interact with the platform:
- Pages visited and tools used (no file content)
- Approximate geographic region (country/city level, IP anonymized)
- Browser type and device type
- Session duration and navigation patterns
IP anonymization is enabled - your full IP address is never stored.
5. Advertising
EveryTool is ad-free
As of April 2026, EveryTool does not display any advertisements. No advertising networks (including Google AdSense) are active on this platform. No advertising cookies are set. All tools are completely free and ad-free.
If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated with specific details about any advertising partners, the cookies they use, and how to opt out.
6. Third-Party Services
EveryTool uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.
Purpose: Anonymous usage analytics - understanding which tools are used and how users navigate the platform.
Data: Anonymized IP, browser/device type, pages visited, session duration.

Important: Because EveryTool does not collect personal data (no name, email, or file content), most of these rights are satisfied by design. We cannot access, store, or share data we never collected.
California residents (CCPA): EveryTool does not sell personal information. We do not share data with third parties for behavioral advertising.
9. Children's Privacy
EveryTool is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the EU/UK under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. In compliance with COPPA, we do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13.
Because EveryTool does not collect personal information from any user, children using the tools are not at risk of data exposure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use of EveryTool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Does EveryTool upload my files to a server?
No. All tools process files entirely within your browser. Your PDFs, images, and documents never leave your device and are never transmitted to any server.
Is it safe to use EveryTool with confidential documents?
Yes. All processing happens in your browser. EveryTool is safe for contracts, medical records, ID documents, financial statements, and any confidential material.
Is EveryTool GDPR compliant?
Yes. Local browser processing with no file uploads is fully GDPR compliant. The only data collected is anonymous analytics via Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled.
Does EveryTool show ads or use advertising cookies?
No. As of April 2026, EveryTool is completely ad-free. No advertising networks are active and no advertising cookies are set.
Does EveryTool work offline?
After the page loads, all tool processing works without an internet connection because everything runs locally in your browser.
What data does Google Analytics collect?
